They taught us how to listen.

Penelope carries those gifts. She is more than a beautiful horse — she is the heart of The Riding Kid, and a symbol of the extraordinary journey every horse and pony can begin in a person's life, whether you are two years old or eighty-two.

A Letter From Our Founder

When I first watched a child meet a horse, I realised something extraordinary was happening.

It wasn't simply about learning to ride.

It was about watching confidence replace uncertainty, courage overcome fear, and a quiet belief begin to grow.

Over the years, I have seen horses teach lessons that cannot be found in a classroom. They teach patience, kindness, responsibility, resilience and trust. They ask nothing of us except that we show up as our authentic selves.

Those moments inspired a dream.

Not simply to create pony rides, but to build a community where every child feels they belong, every family is welcomed like whānau, and every adventure helps shape extraordinary people.

The Riding Kid Club was created to celebrate everything horses quietly give us: love, courage, hope, kindness, strength and the confidence to dream dreams and make them happen.

Our purpose is simple.

Growing Extraordinary People, Horses and Communities.
